Colombia, a country with a rich cultural heritage and a complex socio-economic landscape, has not been immune to this trend. In recent years, the concept of happiness has gained significant attention from economists, researchers, and policymakers worldwide. The objectives are to identify the indicators that most contribute to happiness in Colombia and to explore the relationship between happiness and various socio-economic factors. Drawing on available data from 2020, this article presents a theoretical analysis of happiness in Colombia through a chart-based approach.      Unlike many other cultures, which often prioritize financial success and material possessions, the French tend to focus on what truly matters in life: relationships, experiences, and the pursuit of pleasure. From the mid-day siesta to the quintessential romantic stroll along the Seine, the French prioritize enjoyment and relaxation, recognizing that a happy life is not just about what we have, but about who we are and how we choose to live. One key factor is the French emphasis on living in the present.      Savor Each Moment: Take time to appreciate the small pleasures in life, like a good cup of coffee, a beautiful view, or a delicious meal. Express Your Creativity: Engage in activities that showcase your creative side, whether it's painting, writing, or playing music. Practice Work-Life Balance: Set clear boundaries between work and leisure time, and prioritize activities that bring you relaxation and enjoyment. This philosophy is deeply ingrained in Danish culture, fostering a community-oriented environment where individuals prioritize social connections and shared experiences over material wealth. Hygge is an existential concept that transcends the literal translation of 'cosiness'.      This provides a sense of security and stability, which is a fundamental human need, enabling individuals to pursue their passions without financial stress. One of the key factors contributing to Denmark's high ranking is its robust social safety net. Denmark's performance in the happiness index is evident in various surveys and reports, such as the World Happiness Report, which ranks Denmark as the second happiest country globally. The Danish welfare system provides comprehensive support to citizens, including free education, universal healthcare, and unemployment benefits.      Notably, there are significant regional disparities in happiness levels, with citizens living in urban areas (mainly in Mexico City) reporting higher levels of happiness compared to those living in rural areas. Economic instability, including rising inflation and unemployment rates. Increased poverty, particularly among vulnerable groups such as indigenous peoples and rural communities. This disparity underlines the need for a more nuanced understanding of happiness in Mexico and underscores the necessity to address these regional disparities. Social and political instability, including corruption and violence.      This trend is attributed to factors such as: The Happiness Index in Mexico is measured using the System of National Accounts (SNA), which includes four key components: Life Satisfaction, Positive Experience, Negative Experience, and Perceived Social Support. The latest available data (2020) from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) indicates a general trend of declining happiness levels among Mexicans.      Mexico has long been a country with diverse economic, social, and cultural contexts, resulting in a broad spectrum of happiness levels across its population. Over the years, governments, researchers, and policymakers have sought to understand the factors affecting citizens' well-being, leading to the creation of the Happiness Index.
